Important Announcement dated 04.04.2014
It has been decided to
grant extension to students, who were registered for practical training on or
after 1st May, 2012 and completed one year of their practical training but not
completed the GMCS-I course are required to complete GMCS-I Course latest by
30th September, 2014.
The above students are advised to register at the portal www.icaionlineregistration.org
or contact the nearest Regional Council/Branch for registration in GMCS-I
Course and complete the same at the earliest but not later than 30th September,
2014.

Announcement
Students
registered for Articleship Training on or before 30th April, 2012 to undergo
GMCS-II Course instead of GMCS Course.
As
per the Council's decision, students who registered for Practical Training on
or before April 30, 2012 were required to undergo General Management
Communication Skills (GMCS) Course before applying for membership of
the ICAI as per Regulation 51A/72A of the Chartered Accountants Regulations,
1988.
With
a view to make the GMCS more effective, the Council at its 331st Meeting
decided to discontinue the existing GMCS course with effect from 1st April,
2014 and directed that students registered for Practical Training on or before
April 30, 2012 shall be required to undergo GMCS –II course only instead of
existing GMCS course before applying for membership of the ICAI as per
Regulation 51A/72A of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
In
this connection, above students are advised to register at the portal www.icaionlineregistration.org
or contact the nearest Regional Council/Branch for registration in GMCS-II
Course.

Important
Announcement dated 28th July, 2013
Extension
of time to complete GMCS-I Course by the students registered for articleship
training between 1st May, 2012 and 31st December, 2012.
The
Council at its 326th Meeting being held from 27th-29th July, 2013 at ICAI
Bhawan, New Delhi has decided to grant one time extension to students, who were
registered for practical training between 1st May, 2012 and 31st December, 2012
to complete GMCS-I Course latest by 31st December, 2013.
The eligible students are advised to contact the nearest Regional
Council/Branch for registration of GMCS-I Course and complete the same at the
earliest but not later than 31st December, 2013.

The
Council at its 324th Meeting held in April, 2013 decided that with effect from
1st July, 2013 fee for the General Management and Communication Skills (GMCS)
Course i.e. existing GMCS Course, GMCS – I and GMCS – II courses shall be Rs.
5,500/- per participants for each course.
It
is clarified that students who have already registered by paying Rs. 4,000/- and
will be undergoing the relevant GMCS classes starting on or after 1st July,
2013 are required to pay the balance amount of Rs. 1,500/- to the organising
centres before commencement of the batch of GMCS or GMCS – I Course.

The
Council at its Special Meeting held on February 2, 2011 decided that the
General Management and Communication Skills Course, presently being organized
for 15 days for the CA students should be organized twice during the period of
articleship training as under:
(i)
GMCS-I (15 days): during 1st year of articled training
(ii)
GMCS-II (15 days): after completion of 18 months of training but before
completion of articled training
In
view of the above decision, it is hereby informed that GMCS-I & II Course
shall be implemented in respect of those students, who have registered for
articled training on or after 1st May, 2012. Students, who have registered for
articled training prior to 1st May, 2012 shall be governed by the existing GMCS
curriculum.
We
wish to clarify that Rs. 4,000/- per participant is to be charged for each
course of GMCS as well as GMCS-I as per existing guidelines.
